home project – DIY counter-height stool update

Quick DIY project!

We had these dark wood, counter height stools that are super great for eating or sitting at our counter. They are perfect for this space because it’s a little cramped in my kitchen dining area but these stool have a thin depth. They can be slid under the counter and out of the way.

These stools are from Amazon link is –>Saddle Seat Counter Stool

The dark wood is beautiful but with my black and white kitchen theme – I wanted to give them a makeover with either black or white paint. I’ve being going white on a lot of other decor and furniture items in this space, so I thought I’d go for black!

I also went with black because I wanted to paint the galvanized star hanging on our front door black, as well.

Because it says you can use it on METAL and WOOD. Boom – knocked out two of my DIY project with one inexpensive purchase!

I bought theKrylon Outdoor Decor Satin Paint – Midnight Sky

No need to buy paint brushes, no clean up, and only a one hour dry-time!

It also said that I didn’t need to prep, prime or sand the wood – just spray right over.

Here are my results! The spray paint dried very even, with the perfect amount of shine, and the color is just what I was hoping for! All with just one quick coat!

Time to go spray the other stool…and find more stuff that would look good spray painted black.

Thanks for following along!
