toy organization & labels

Just sharing a little toy organization. As a teacher – I LOVE ME some labeling! This is just one of the labeling systems that I have added at our home. I looked for a while on Pinterest for labels to download and simply print off. I just couldn’t find the perfect label. A few of the downloadable labels that I liked didn’t have the labels that I needed based on what toys I was looking to store— and I also really wanted a cohesive look – I like when things match! 🙂

So, I just made a few of my own. I found pictures online that would be recognizable and easy for Bode to understand what toys are suppose to be kept in each bin.  It’s super important to have the word and picture – it truly helps when clean up time rolls around and you have kids who aren’t readers yet.

The bins I bought to store our toys are from Walmart — the link is here

—- however, it says you can only get them in stores!

One thing I really love about the bins I use is that it fits MOST puzzles – we have a lot of Melissa & Doug Puzzles , which fit perfectly in these bins.

It is key to laminate the labels. I am certain the labels would not survive my 3 year old & 9 month old. I use my laminator ALL THE TIME – for many things around the house, as well as for teaching stuff.

here is the link to grab the laminator I have! –> Scotch Laminator

What toy organization do y’all use at home?

Let me know if you want the Word template I created to make your own labels! I’d also be able to create some custom toy bin labels if need be! 🙂

Thanks for reading!
